Yeah, John says something like “Do you want a toot, Steve? It’s going around”.
It’s not a good recording. I certainly wouldn’t pay for it, but it’s freely available on torrent sites.

I've never listened to it. It's interesting in the sense that it's Lennon-McCartney's last recording together, but I've never heard a positive thing said about it. I'm worried I'll be disappointed aha.
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

I've never heard this and don't really want to, but it's nice to know it exists. And it's nice to live in an age where this kind of stuff can be easily distributed for free, without anybody being able to get rich or ripped off.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I hadn’t heard the story about John and Paul playing together one last time in 1974. Not sure if this topic’s come up here on the forum or if it’s common knowledge, but I thought it was interesting.

This is far more interesting as a historical piece than it is as an album. The music just plain isn’t very pleasant to listen to. John being high-strung and irritable the whole time doesn’t help.

One of those recordings that if told the very basics (John and Paul together in the studio again) you have would have to hear it. It’s therefore one of the biggest disappointments due to being such a dreadful listening experience. Have heard it once and there is zero reason to going back to it; you’d never know Paul was there if you weren’t told and John is the kind of drugged up irritant you’d want to get away from instantly. One of those where you had to be there.

The only thing to recommend it is the historical significance. Listen to it once, be extremely disappointed and never go back, nothing redeemable in the way that elements of the Let It Be ‘Nagra’ reels contain occasional gems in the shape of several complete (if loose) run throughs. Nothing at all…
