As you know that their non-album stuff are collected on Past Masters and some outtakes are on Anthology. The thing that bothers me is that different era Beatles songs being mixed doesn’t make for a smooth listen that’s why I can never listen to The Beatles on shuffle,I enjoy to listen to their songs in their respective album era.
The way that most bands seem to handle these extra songs is usually a deluxe edition with B-sides and outtake tacked at the end.Do you think that Apple would do something like this in the future?
And also a side question besides Carnival Of Light ,and the White Album demos (Circles,Sour Milk Sea and a few other I don’t remember),what other Beatles songs(excluding pre-Please Please Me ) has yet to be officially released, irregardless if whether they have been bootlegged or not.
Do you think that we The internet Beatles community should raise awareness and have a petition to have these tracks released?Maybe an Anthology 4 or a new compilation?

‘Past Masters ‘ has been adopted into the cannon since 1988 and i cannot see Apple cutting it up and offering the standard core non-albums tracks as part of deluxe packages, same goes for the ‘Anthology’ tracks.
As for the future who knows what Apple are going to release and how. Some people thought we would have seen 50th Anniversary box sets (or deluxe editions) for each of the albums starting with ‘Please Please Me ‘ which would have bonus tracks (as many artists do on major anniversaries) but we got nothing – they are notoriously slow (bordering on non-existent) in releasing anything new from the vaults or marking any key dates outside of signing off memorabilia licenses (a.k.a. tat).
A petition will do nothing. Call me cynical but Apple aren’t interested in what the fans want to see released otherwise we would have seen more output; their interest is in protecting the Beatles legacy whilst at the same time making as many sales from it as they can and outtakes don’t fit into that. Not audio but the ‘Let It Be ‘ movie is a prime example; they know fine well fans are wanting to see it come out officially and that it will sell but it doesnt fit into how they market ‘The Beatles’ as a brand so despite all the rumours there has been nothing. Box sets, reissues and remasters wont affect the brand and sell so that’s what we get.
