Offline I’d be on board with a ton of outtakes if they exist from all the albums. Can’t get enough of them.

Offline They exist. The tracking for the early albums was typically done with minimal overdubs, so a lot of outtakes are pretty close to their final form, with some false starts and flubs. I particularly enjoy hearing the evolution of the opening chord throughout the takes of the title track, but there are changes large and small to the tempo, arrangement, with some fun chatter along the way. I love falling asleep to AHDN sessions (not because they aren’t interesting) but because you can really get lost in them and start to pick up on how they perform the song different each time. Take 4 has some great vocal choices but John and Paul that aren’t on the final take.

It’s another empty release from Apple, admittedly following many other artists examples – and it was happening in the 70’s with Beatles picture discs and coloured vinyl. It’s just such a missed opportunity when this years Apple releases are solely aimed at the very lucrative vinyl market. Which probably explains why.
There is a ton of film footage from the US visit as well as all the outtakes in the vaults (and it exists, Apple have it all) and none of it is seeing release.
But then if they do it’s one or two discs worth sold for £130. So either way we’re getting screwed. I saw Dylan is selling a 26(?) disc box of live material for under £100.
