Havent worked out the exact final track order but something like below, no Ringo but he only had one song and i dont care for it.
Side 1
- Strawberry Fields (natural opener)
- Baby, You’re A Rich Man
- Lucy In The Sky
- Getting Better
- I Am The Walrus
- Hello, Goodbye
- Mr Kite
Side 2
- Within You Without You
- The Fool On The Hill
- Lovely Rita
- Good Morning, Good Morning
- Pepper Reprise
- Day In The Life
Last 4 work perfectly so why change them.
I dont care for the rest of Paul’s ’67 material if being honest; I don’t care when it comes on and i dont care when it stops, its fine and most fills up the time nicely but none really grabs me. As said elsewhere i can happily skip ‘Pepper’ and ‘With A Little Help ‘ and if anything it improves the whole ‘Pepper’ LP experience as i dont have to labour thru and i’ve never gotten the adoration ‘Penny Lane ‘ gets. ‘Your Mother Should Know ‘ on the other hand feels like it lasts far longer than it does – and its only a 2 1/2 minute track. It doesn’t do anything or go anywhere! ‘Flying ‘ is pleasany but filler.
‘All You Need Is Love ‘ can be the stand alone single b/w ‘Fixing A Hole ‘ just so both see a release. Maybe do an EP with ‘She’s Leaving Home ‘ and, erm, nope i got nothing. Maybe i’ve forgotten something. Can i do the first three track single? Oh, the material that ended up on ‘Yellow Submarine ‘. I’ll therefore get a bonus Ep with ‘She’s Leaving Home ‘… no that wont work either as i dont have a John song to go on it. I throw my hands in the air, lock it all in the vault and refuse to release it for 75 years.
If i was to make it into a 14 track album i’d probably opt for ‘Blue Jay Way ‘ but it doesn’t fit on it. I’ve actually listened to it twice in the last two days and its growing on me.

That’s ok, I believe Ringo didn’t have a song on A Hard Day’s Night either, so no big whoop!
Funny thing about this thread is basically it’s, Sgt. Pepper & Capitols MMT wrapped up into 1 nice package with the less pleasing songs removed.
1967 was 1 hell of an awesome year for the Beatles music wise!
BEATLES Music gives me Eargasms!
