M3 reminded me of this earlier, but I think that this is the best thing they did. I mean, taking 9 songs and connecting them in such a awesomely creative way was masterful. I have to say, however, that John’s songs were not great (no, Because isn’t in my ‘John songs’ thing. That’s great.) and really, Mustard, Pam, and Bathroom Window are comedic relief. The true mastery of the medley comes from Paul. You Never Give Me Your Money is a suite, a suite that is, of all time, tied for #1. This is the best, nay, the only, opener. The subtle chord to Sun King , and then the majesticness of that. Following Bathroom Window, Golden Slumbers was, is, and will remain, my favourite part of this medley. Its soft beauty, the elegance and the beauty of the melody are haunting. Carry That Weight is great, especially the reprise of the YNGMYM guitar, and then The End . I needn’t go into that. And Her Majesty is also nice, even if to far away from The End for my liking. So, what are your favourites? (I hope I don’t get any snarky I hate it comments *cough*Zig, M3*cough*, but I seriously doubt anyone dislikes it.

I don't think that the songs alone would be considered masterpieces, but together, it is. I would say that “Golden Slumbers ” is my favorite. I don't know why. Just something about it. The medley really makes the album Abbey Road , and it's original in it's own way. I love it.
I salute the lady who screamed "I love you Paul!" at a tribute band's concert.

I really like Sun King , and the closing sub-medley is as good as anything they've done. “Money” and “Window” are also very good songs, made better by being in the medley.
Her Madejsty has its merits, but I don't include it in the medley.
MMM and PP are very average songs. If I recorded them tomorrow, they wouldn't be especially lauded. However, they're made far better than they should be by being in the medley.
Overall, I love the medley. I just wish they'd done it with the whole album (yes, I know it was originally on two sides of a record).

What are you talking about?
*seriously*
I love this to death. I agree on how very few of the songs would be considered masterpieces on their own, but they become ten million times awesomer when they're smashed together. For a time, “Golden Slumbers ” was my favorite song.
*funny story mode*
OK, so when we got Rock Band, we didn't have any DLC. One day, JoJo and Mom finished Story Mode, and unlocked “The End ” on its own. We became used to hearing it, so when we got Abbey Road at Target, I popped it into the CD player. Yes, I went at “I Want You (She's So Heavy)” and went when I discovered that “The End ” was not its own song.
A while later, I decided to listen to the whole album alone, so I went to my room and listened to it in the CD player. Verdict: AWESOME.
*wrapping up*
But yes, this is one of the most amazing things ever. This is the first weapon in my arsenal against Paul-haters who claim that Paul was the Garfunkel to John's Simon (Yes, I edited it for Sun king's benefit. Sue me.).
Heck, I even got my signature from it.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Thanks for that. I always enjoy a good laugh.

Yes, fail. And I'm the same. I was listening to Abbey Road when I registered, and I figured I needed a really long name.

Well you'd been beat out, Sun King !
My favorite from the Abbey Road medley would be called either Golden Slumbers , You Never Give Me Your Money or The End . It's probably Golden Slumbers , but I don't really know.

Do you still consider Because to be part of medley?
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

So the two Paul's aren't close? Just kidding, I like that one.

Not really, I listened more intently to the YNGMYM/Sun King transition and it's a lot smoother than I thought it was, so Because is out.

I don't remember if I ever made my re-sequenced medley – with “Her Majesty ” restored to its original place in between “Mustard” 'n' “Pam” – available for download, so what better time than now?

This is the way I always hear it now!

My favorite is either Sun King or Golden Slumbers !
After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.

Fair enough!
I still say that at the very least, they should've eliminated the silence between “Bathroom Window” and “Golden Slumbers ” and gone with a segue instead. 17!
