  7. Hi! In my youth back around 1970 I had a Beatles-abum which I cannot remember what was named. The only thing I for sure remember is that this album was somewhat strange, cause it had both all the songs from the Hamburg-period + the first Parlophone-singles, mixed together on both sides, Both Please please me, I want to hold Your hand, From me to you and Thank you girl were present on the record inbetween Ain’t she sweet, Take out som einsurence…and all those others.
I can vaguely remember that the label was kind of Orange and white, as the German bargainlabel- “Europa”, but cannot remember how the cover looked like, not even colours. But I believe that the album probably was a german release. Do you have any idea of this strange album combining borht Polydor and EMI-songs???
Hope you can give me a reply to this 😉
    Cheers from Norway
    Johnny

    1. I’ve just bought a DDR reissue in the market by the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. A mix of Polydor and EMI tracks as you described. On the Amiga label with sleeve notes by Peter Wicke. Cover has Ringo banging a military drum, Paul with bagpipes etc. It’s just called The Beatles.

  9. Hi
You give the stereo number for THE BEATLES’ BEAT as STO 83 692 and SMO 83 692.
Those release would have had the red, white, and gold stereo labels on the disc but I have never nor do I know anyone that has ever seen that stereo version. If you have s copy please post a picture of the side A and B labels,
I would like to see them
    Crestlinedan

  10. You do not mention « The Beatles’ First » LP, the Polydor compilation of all the Hamburg recordings (+four other Sheridan songs). I’m trying to find the release date. All I can find is April ’64. Any Idea ?
