For the most part, The Beatles’ releases in Austria were direct imports from Germany. There were, however, three singles released in 1964 and 1965 when EMI Austria decided to manufacture their own singles.
These three Austrian singles were issued with near-identical sleeves, with The Beatles in their collarless suits and a drawing of a Beatle wig.
Small numbers of the German version of All You Need Is Love were released with a special advert for the Austrian boutique Trend-Corner and its owner company Merkur. This single is now a rarity.
