Jeff Jones, chief executive of The Beatles’ Apple Corps Ltd, is to step down.
Jones has run Apple Corps since April 2007, replacing Neil Aspinall. He has been responsible for bringing The Beatles’ catalogue into the modern age, overseeing the remastered and remixed albums, their launch on streaming services, the video game The Beatles: Rock Band, the Cirque du Soleil collaboration Love, and the DVD and Blu-ray reissues of Help!, Magical Mystery Tour, and Yellow Submarine.

London – October 21, 2024 – Highly respected music industry executive Jeff Jones will step down from his role as Chief Executive of Apple Corps Ltd. after 17 years.During his tenure, Jones has initiated and overseen a vast array of remarkable projects, including the recent 2023 release of the final Beatles song, “Now And Then”.
Since joining Apple Corps in 2007, Jones has spearheaded countless significant initiatives. He launched TheBeatles.com and his leadership was central to making The Beatles’ music available digitally for the first time with iTunes. He introduced the band to a new generation with The Beatles’ ‘Rock Band’ game. He oversaw Apple Corps’ 18-year partnership with Cirque du Soleil for “The Beatles LOVE” show, and he released multiple GRAMMY Award-winning catalogue reissues.
Additionally, Jones served as executive producer on the critically acclaimed documentary film ‘The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years’ directed by Ron Howard. He was executive producer of the three-part Emmy Award-winning documentary series, “The Beatles: Get Back”, directed by Peter Jackson, which was released in 2021 and distributed by Disney. He is currently an executive producer on the upcoming ‘Beatles ’64’ documentary, produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by David Tedeschi, to be released next month.
