Paul McCartney performed at the Clube do Choro in Brasília, Brazil, on 28 November 2023.

It was the 28th show of the Got Back Tour, which lasted for 59 dates between April 2022 and December 2024.

This was a special performance seen by just 300 fans. The show was announced on social media earlier that morning, with the option to buy tickets available only to those who had purchased tickets for his performance at the Mané Garrincha stadium.

Tickets were priced between 200 reais ($41) and 400 reais ($82), and sold out in minutes. Upon their arrival, mobile phones and cameras were sealed away to prevent photographs and videos.

It was like winning the lottery without having bought a ticket.

I’d already experienced moments I thought could never be beaten, but yesterday I was able to see my greatest musical icon just a meter away from me, interacting with me at various times in a place that was transformed into the Cavern Club for an hour and forty minutes.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums), Kenji Fenton (saxophone), Mike Davis (trumpet), and Paul Burton (trombone).
