It was the 34th show of the One On One Tour, which lasted for 77 dates between September and November 2005, and the first of two consecutive nights in Cleveland
Prior to the show McCartney met Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton after her motorcade stopped at the arena.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).
McCartney had previously performed at the Gund Arena, as the venue was then known, on 29 April and 4 October 2002 during the Driving World Tour.
