It was the 15th show of the 12th All-Starr Band’s tour of North and South America, which lasted for 39 dates between February and October 2015.

Starr had previously performed at the Auditorio Nacional on 1 November 2011 and 13, 14, and 19 November 2013. He returned there on 5 and 6 June 2024.
