Paul McCartney live: Times Union Center, Albany

Paul McCartney performed at the Times Unions Center in Albany, New York, USA, on 5 July 2014.

It was the 39th show of the Out There Tour, which lasted for 91 dates between May 2013 and October 2015. This concert was seen by 13,044 fans.

The Albany show came after McCartney was forced to postpone several concerts due to illness. The singer called off the Japan leg of the tour, a show in South Korea and seven US dates after being struck down with a virus. McCartney spent six days in a Tokyo hospital before recuperating in London.

The Times Union Center saw a new addition to the setlist: ‘On My Way To Work’, from 2013’s New album.

The show also saw an on-stage marriage proposal. The Rochester couple were invited onto the stage during the second encore, after holding aloft banners which said “He won’t marry me ’til he meets you!” and “I have the ring & I’m 64!!”

John Dann sang part of The Beatles’ ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ to his girlfriend Claudia Rodgers before getting down on one knee and proposing marriage. She accepted to cheers from the crowd.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).
