Paul McCartney performed at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, on 25 November 2012.
It was the 35th show of the On The Run Tour, which lasted for 37 dates between July 2011 and November 2012. This concert was seen by 60,000 fans.
McCartney’s previous performance in Vancouver was with The Beatles at the Empire Stadium on 22 August 1964.
Vancouver, you are a mover and a groover, Vancouver.
Rumours that McCartney was to have been joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen turned out to be false, although The Boss was said to have been backstage during the show. The rumours appear to have originated from Tweets posted by radio station CKNW. Springsteen was scheduled to play Rogers Arena on the following evening.
The setlist contained ‘Mull Of Kintyre’, which McCartney often performs at Canadian shows. Accompanying his band were the Delta Police Pipe Band.
McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).
To be clear, Vancouver, you rocked my freakin' face off for our whole show tonight. The best #seriouslyouttacontrol #radd #slumberparty?
