It was the 13th show of the 12th All-Starr Band’s tour of North America, which lasted for 26 dates in June and July 2012.

Starr previously performed at the Hard Rock Live on 3 July 2008 and 15 July 2010. He returned there on 17 September 2022. Paul McCartney also performed at the venue on 25 May 2022.
