Paul McCartney live: Wrigley Field, Chicago

Paul McCartney performed at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois, USA, on 1 August 2011.

It was the seventh show of the On The Run Tour, which lasted for 37 dates between July 2011 and November 2012, and the second of two consecutive nights in Chicago.

The setlist was largely the same as the previous night’s, but with some changes. McCartney opened with ‘Magical Mystery Tour’, and sang ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ instead of ‘Drive My Car’. He also added ‘I’m Looking Through You’ and ‘And I Love Her’ in place of ‘I Will’ and ‘I’ve Just Seen A Face’, and performed ‘Birthday’ and ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ rather than ‘Day Tripper’ and ‘Get Back’.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).

  1. “He also added I’m Looking Through You and And I Love Her in place of I Will and Blackbird”

He played Blackbird at both shows. He played I’m Looking Through You and And I Love Her in place of I Will and I’ve Just Seen A Face

  2. I’m interested in purchasing the concert video for Paul McCartney’s 7/31/11 concert at Wrigley Statium in Chicago. Does anyone know if this is available?
