Paul McCartney live: Estádio do Morumbi, São Paulo

Paul McCartney performed at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil, on 21 November 2010.

It was the 29th concert of the Up And Coming Tour, which lasted for 38 dates between March 2010 and June 2011, and the first of two consecutive shows in São Paulo. This show was seen by 65,000 people.

Here’s the night’s performance of ‘Let It Be’:

At the end of the concert, as he left the stage, McCartney tripped and fell. He was reportedly unharmed.

The setlist was almost identical to that of his 7 November 2010 concert at Estádio Beira Rio in Porto Alegre, Brazil, although on this occasion he didn’t perform ‘Ram On’.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).

  1. Considered by Paul “one of our top shows ever”! 🙂

Comment on São Paulo, Nov 21 Show:

“Could you pick one live moment of the year as a stand out highlight? It’s been an incredible year…

It’s been an incredible year, I think you’ve got, I would pick two. I think Sao Paulo, 65,000 people the first show was amazing the Brazilian people love their music and so we love to play to them and it was a stand out show. It was one of our top shows ever, and it was just brilliant, the audience was bananas and we have a great evening. And then I think you know you come down to the East room in the White House, smaller but just as great because of the Obamas’ and the guests who were on the show so we had a great evening there too so I would choose those two.”
