Paul McCartney performed at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, on 19 August 2010.
It was the 25th concert of the Up And Coming Tour, which lasted for 38 dates between March 2010 and June 2011, and the second of two consecutive nights in Pittsburgh.
This was the final show of the first part of the tour, which resumed in November 2010. McCartney was the first performer to play at the Center, which was completed on 1 August 2010. Tickets for his first concert on 18 August sold out within five minutes of going on sale, leading to this second show being scheduled.
Here’s the performance of ‘Let Me Roll It’ from the show:
McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).
McCartney returned to the Consol Energy Center on 7 July 2014 during the Out There Tour.

Of the 6 times I have seen Paul in concert (going back to Wings in Pittsburgh, 1990) this is the best show of all. Not necessarily because of the new Arena, but because of the fact that McCartney gets better over time and more relaxed, mellow and crowd pleasing and friendly. What a gift to have had the BeaTles in our lifetime. We still have BeaTlemania alive and well. Thanks Paul and everyone else who made this last tour possible !
How about that new arena though? That was by far the nicest indoor show I’ve ever seen. Paul just connected with the crowd so well, I’ve been to a bunch of different concerts and most acknowledge the crowd and chat a bit, but Paul involved us. I felt like I was on the David Frost show at the end of Hey Jude.
I was at the second show in Pittsburgh and I have to say that Sir Paul has the energy of someone one quarter his age. It was amazing that he was able to perform for as long as he did without needing to take a break. He still has it, without a doubt.
