Paul McCartney live: FedEx Field, Landover

Paul McCartney performed at the FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, USA, on 1 August 2009.

It was the fifth show of the Summer Live ’09 Tour, which lasted for 10 dates in July and August 2009. This show was delayed by over an hour due to traffic problems.

McCartney’s band was Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion, harmonica), Brian Ray (vocals, guitar, bass), Rusty Anderson (vocals, guitar), and Abe Laboriel Jr (vocals, drums).

  1. I was there, 15th row center, and it was a great show as usual. We got there fairly early so I wasn’t aware of the traffic issue until later the next day. But at the time we were wondering what was taking so long because some dj duo had this awfully wretched electronica blasting that didn’t seem like it would ever stop. But it finally did and Sir Macca brought brilliant sunshine to the DC night.

    Love this site. Incredible job.
