It was the final show by the tenth All-Starr Band. Their tour of North America lasted for 29 dates between June and August 2008.

Starr had previously performed at the Greek Theatre on 3 and 4 September 1989, 11 and 12 August 1992, and 18 and 19 August 1995. He returned there on 7 August 2010, 21 July 2012, 19 July 2014, 2 July 2016, 29 September 2018, 1 September 2019, and 15 June 2023.
