It was the fifth show by the tenth All-Starr Band. Their tour of North America lasted for 29 dates between June and August 2008.

Starr had previously performed at the Bank of America Pavilion on 19 July 1995, 5 June 1997, 4 August 2001, and 27 July 2003, and 19 July 2006. He returned there on 29 June 2010 and 19 June 2012.
