Driving Rain, Paul McCartney’s 12th solo studio album, was released in the United States on 13 November 2001.
Recorded in Los Angeles, its songs often touched upon his relationships with Linda and his new love Heather Mills.
Driving Rain was released on 12 November 2001 in the UK, and the following day in the US. It was not a commercial success, failing to break the top 10 anywhere in the world.
In the US it peaked at number 26, whereas in the UK it only spent one week on the album chart, at number 46.
