Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band live: Stadtpark Freilichtbühne, Hamburg

Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at the Stadtpark Freilichtbühne in Hamburg, Germany, on 2 September 1998.

It was the 15th show of the fourth All-Starr Band’s European tour, which lasted for 17 dates in August and September 1997.

Starr had previously performed at the Stadtpark Freilichtbühne on 10 July 1992. He returned there on 7 July 2011 and 11 June 2018.

The next night was Hamburg, long a favourite city of mine and of course where it really all started for the Beatles. The people there are real rock ‘n’ roll and although it was rather chilly by
the end it was perhaps musically our best show.
