Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, England, on 28 August 1998.
It was the 11th show of the fourth All-Starr Band’s European tour, which lasted for 18 dates in August and September 1998. This show was originally scheduled for 28 August, but was brought forward a week. A second show on the 22nd was cancelled.
Without a doubt the high spot of the tour so far was the Empire, Shepherd’s Bush in old London Town. It turned out to be a real old-style rock ‘n’ roll gig with hordes of screaming girls both inside and out – just like in the days of Beatlemania! I played an even madder than usual bass solo specially for the kids who had never seen a real bass guitar player, reared as they have been on synth bass!

The above dates are wrong – they played the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on Friday 28th August – not Friday 21st August. I was at the London show and have the ticket to prove it was the 28th August.
I’ve seen tickets saying 28 August, but I think the concert was brought forward a week. Jack Bruce’s tour diary has an entry dated 23 August, and he writes about having recently played the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. He also says there would be three concerts in Monaco, one of which took place on 28 August. That’s what most online sources say too.
I’d be happy to revisit if there’s more evidence of a date change, but I think Jack’s contemporaneous diary has to be considered accurate.
