Ringo Starr’s fourth solo album, Goodnight Vienna, was released in the United States on 18 November 1974, three days after its UK release.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles in August 1974, and featured guest performers including John Lennon and Elton John.
Goodnight Vienna peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200. It was also a top 10 hit in Austria, Denmark, and France.
In the UK it peaked at number 30, becoming Starr’s final charting album until 1998’s Vertical Man.
