On 26 January 1970, Ringo Starr and his wife Maureen Starkey had flown from London to Los Angeles to attend the US premiere of The Magic Christian.
While there they took a brief trip to Las Vegas to watch Elvis Presley perform, before returning to LA.
On this day they flew to New York from Los Angeles, ahead of their return to England on 2 February.
