Apple’s electronics ‘guru’, Alexis ‘Magic Alex’ Mardas, married on this day in London. His best men were John Lennon and the singer-songwriter Donovan.
Mardas was then 26 years old. He married 22-year-old Eufrosyne Doxiades, the daughter of a respected Greek architect. The wedding took place at St Sophia’s Cathedral, a Greek orthodox church on Moscow Road in the Bayswater area of London.
Also in attendance were George Harrison and his wife Pattie, and Lennon’s partner Yoko Ono.
