Keen to enjoy a holiday before The Beatles left England for their final US tour, George and Pattie Harrison left London for a break in Devon.
They drove to Stoodleigh where Pattie’s mother Diana Jones had an 18th century farmhouse. They spent several days at the house before returning once more to London. The Beatles flew to America on 11 August 1966.
