Studio Two (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producer: George Martin
Engineer: Norman Smith
Mono mixes for five Rubber Soul songs were created by George Martin on this day, as well as one of ‘Day Tripper’ for The Beatles’ forthcoming single.
The work was done swiftly, with the session taking place from 10am-1pm. It is unlikely that The Beatles were present.
Each of the Rubber Soul mixes was used, but a better mono version of ‘Day Tripper’ was made on 29 October 1965.
