The Beatles topped the bill at the 1964-65 New Musical Express Annual Poll-Winners’ All-Star Concert. It was the third consecutive year they appeared at the event, held at the Empire Pool in Wembley, London.
They performed five songs before 10,000 people: ‘I Feel Fine’, ‘She’s A Woman’, ‘Baby’s In Black’, ‘Ticket To Ride’, and ‘Long Tall Sally’.
The Beatles’ set was broadcast on television in the United Kingdom on 18 April 1965.
Wings performed at the Empire Pool on 19, 20, and 21 October 1976, and at the renamed Wembley Arena on 7, 8, 9, and 10 December 1979. Paul McCartney performed solo concerts there on 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, and 26 January 1990.

Now this is a really fine musical performance. Only Lennon/McCartney vocals throughout the set. I feel fine is a great opener, and She´s a woman has a great solo. Can´t think of any other time where it is announced with its title though. Baby´s in black is introduced by Paul this time, not John, but he still calls it Baby´s in Black-pool, as John often did. Ticket to ride is really good, and Long tall Sally is always good, Only flaw is they film George playing chords during John´s solo.
One of their best performances. Very top-notch vocals and harmonies from John and Paul.
The Beatles did not top the bill as Maurice Kinn always said there was no top of the bill at Poll Winners Concerts. The artists were listed in alphabetical order in the programme. I was at 1964, 1965, and 1966 and The Beatles were never the final act.
