This was the first of a two-day shoot in which The Beatles filmed scenes at a hospital for handicapped children and elderly people on New Providence Island, the Bahamas.
In the film script they presumed the building was a temple. During the shoot, however, The Beatles thought the building was a former army camp. After finding out its true purpose they were disgusted with the conditions there.
