On this day John Lennon and his wife Cynthia began a 14-day holiday in the St Moritz ski resort in the Swiss Alps.
They were accompanied on the skiing holiday by The Beatles’ producer, George Martin, and his future wife Judy Lockhart-Smith. The two couples returned to England on 7 February 1965.
