The Beatles spent Christmas Day 1964 in a number of different ways. John and Cynthia Lennon were at home with their son Julian; Paul McCartney was with Jane Asher at her family’s London home; while George Harrison and Ringo Starr remained in their home at flat 7, Whaddon House in London.

I’m surprised to read that George was still living with Ringo in London. I knew they shared a flat together, but I thought he was already living in Esher, at Kinfauns, the house he bought a bit after John found and bought Kenwood back in july 1964. Does anyone has an explanation about this? Thank you! (and Merry Crimble as they said).
Yes, the Wikipedia article on Kinfauns mentions that George was joined there months later by Pattie Boyd and he did buy it in July 1964, deciding it was for him.
I agree that this mistake needs to be rectified and it’s not like George had extensive renovation work done at Kinfauns.
According to The Beatles’ London (Lewisohn et al): “George and Ringo moved into flat 7, on the fourth floor, in early 1964. This was also shared by George’s girlfriend (and later wife) Pattie Boyd until March 1965 when the couple moved into a bungalow in Esher, Surrey, and Ringo leased a Maisonette in Montagu Square. Ringo and George also occupied flats 5 and 6 for a short time.”
