The Beatles live: Olympia Theatre, Paris

Another two shows at the Olympia Theatre in Paris, France, for day seven of The Beatles’ 18-date concert residency in the city.

The group’s setlist at the Olympia contained eight songs: ‘From Me To You’, ‘Roll Over Beethoven’, ‘She Loves You’, ‘This Boy’, ‘Boys’, ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’, ‘Twist And Shout’ and ‘Long Tall Sally’.

Also on this day, John Lennon and Paul McCartney recorded a basic demo of the song One And One Is Two, written for Billy J Kramer.

The recording was done in the bathroom of their suite at the George V hotel. “Billy J is finished when he gets this,” Lennon half-joked after they finished taping it.
