Although The Beatles recorded a television appearance the following day in Stockholm, this was the last concert performance of their 1963 tour of Sweden.
It took place in the sports hall in the town of Eskilstuna. The Beatles took to the stage at 7pm, performing for 2,000 fans. The other acts on the bill were Jerry Williams, The Violents, Trio Me’ Bumba, The Telstars and Mona Skarstrom.
The setlist for this show, and probably all dates on their 1963 Sweden tour, contained nine songs:
- ‘Roll Over Beethoven’
- ‘Please Please Me’
- ‘I Saw Her Standing There’
- ‘From Me To You’
- ‘A Taste Of Honey’
- ‘Boys’
- ‘She Loves You’
- ‘Twist And Shout’
- ‘Long Tall Sally’

A myth states that Beatles stayed at “Lilla Hotellet” across the river in Eskilstuna. But tour arranger, Bengt-Åke Bengtsson, told me on a tape interview, shortly before passing, that this is probably not true since Beatles wanted to go to Stockholm as fast as possible in order to prepare for next day’s television filming at Grona Lund for TV-program “Drop In”.
Another myth says that the signing of the shooting of A Hard Day’s Night took place this day.
