On John Lennon’s 23rd birthday The Beatles made their only appearance on the BBC radio programme The Ken Dodd Show. It was recorded at the BBC Paris Studio in London.
The Ken Dodd Show starred the eponymous Liverpudlian comedian in a series of comedy skits and sketches. The Beatles’ contribution was a performance of ‘She Loves You’, recorded with the rest of the programme before a studio audience from 10-11pm.
This half-hour show was broadcast on the BBC Light Programme service on Sunday 3 November from 2.30pm.

The BBC track “Beatles Greetings” was supposedly recorded the same day and broadcast the same day this show was broadcast, yet it’s apparently from “The Public Ear”. Is that correct?
Indeed, there is something that does not match. In “Live at the BBC” he talks about the recording of “The Public Ear”, presented by Tony Hall.
The comment is absolutely constructive. The work done on “The Beatles Bible” is absolutely wonderful.
WONDERFUL!
