Studio Two (control room), EMI Studios, Abbey Road
Producer: George Martin
Engineer: Norman Smith
The Beatles were on holiday abroad when George Martin led a session to continue work on seven With The Beatles songs.
The session began at 10am and finished at 1.15pm. It started with an edit of ‘Little Child’, comprising elements of takes 15 and 18, followed by an edit of takes 26 and 29 of ‘Hold Me Tight’.
Martin then recorded two piano overdubs onto ‘Money (That’s What I Want)’, and six takes of a Hammond organ overdub onto ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’ – these were numbered takes 8-13, and the last of them was the best.
Mono mixes were then made for five LP tracks: ‘All I’ve Got To Do’, ‘Don’t Bother Me’, Little Child, Hold Me Tight, and ‘Not A Second Time’.

George Martin rocked the piano on Money like few other could. It was an indispensable part of an incredibly great song.
