The Beatles performed at Blackpool’s ABC Theatre on 11 August 1963. It was the third of five concerts by the band between July and September 1963 at the venue.
They arrived back in England at Manchester Airport, following their concert in Jersey the previous day. They were greeted by Mal Evans, who formally began as an employee of The Beatles on this day. Evans would remain part of their inner circle until 1970.
