This was The Beatles’ third of four sessions recorded for the BBC radio show Easy Beat.
The recording took place at London’s Playhouse Theatre from 8.45-9.45pm in front of a studio audience. The Beatles performed four songs: ‘I Saw Her Standing There’, ‘A Shot Of Rhythm And Blues’, ‘There’s A Place’ and ‘Twist And Shout’.
The hour-long show was broadcast on the BBC Light Programme service on 21 July 1963 from 10.30am.
