The Beatles topped the bill on the ABC Television programme Thank Your Lucky Stars on this day. It was filmed at the Alpha Television Studios in Birmingham, England.
The show was recorded in the afternoon and broadcast on Saturday 18 May 1963. The Beatles mimed to two songs: ‘From Me To You’ and ‘I Saw Her Standing There’.
This was The Beatles’ fourth appearance on the pop music show, but the first time they were the main act.
