This was The Beatles’ only concert appearance in Frodsham, a market town in the county of Cheshire. They played at the ballroom at the Mersey View Pleasure Grounds, a popular destination for touring bands in the 1960s.

Yea I was there and remember it well
I live in Frodsham and am a huge Beatles fan. Always heard rumours that they had played at The View, back when it used to be the big barn, and it had the helter skelter on top of the hill and all that. Would love to know what it was like and what they were like, well just what the whole experience was like in general really ha.
I was there: tickets were 7/6p & a sell out gig, with loads of fans without tickets left outside. Mersey View was our regular Saturday night venue, attracting coach loads of people every week from Runcorn, Widnes, Chester, Ellesmere Port & Northwich to are & dance to top groups ????.
Happy days. ?
I believe The Beatles played another gig in Frodsham – in a field off Tarvin Rd at (I think) a private function. It’s often rumoured that the title of the Beatles track, Helter-Skelter was inspired by their gig at the Mersey View club which was right next to the Helter-Skelter itself.
