A return to the Gaumont in Doncaster, Yorkshire, a venue The Beatles had previously visited on 5 February 1963. This occasion was part of their UK tour with Tommy Roe and Chris Montez.
The Beatles’ setlist contained six songs: ‘Love Me Do’, ‘Misery’, ‘A Taste Of Honey’, ‘Do You Want To Know A Secret’, ‘Please Please Me’ and ‘I Saw Her Standing There’.
22 March 1963 was also the day The Beatles’ debut album Please Please Me was released, and the group were doubtless thrilled to be able to expand their live repertoire with songs from it.
