The Beatles made their second appearance on ABC Television’s hugely popular music show Thank Your Lucky Stars on this day.
Filming took place at the Teddington Studio Centre on Broom Road in Teddington, Middlesex. The Beatles’ rehearsal began at 11am, and the programme was recorded in the afternoon.
The Beatles were third on a seven-act bill. They mimed to one song, ‘Please Please Me’, and the headline act was Billy Fury.
The episode of Thank Your Lucky Stars was broadcast throughout most of the United Kingdom on Saturday 23 February, between 5.50 and 6.30pm.
