700 people packed in to the Civic Hall in Ellesmere Port to see The Beatles on this day – a sell-out for the venue.
This was The Beatles’ only booking in Ellesmere Port. Although a large industrial town on Merseyside, and just 19 miles from Liverpool, they didn’t play there on any other occasion.

I was at this event. My Mum booked the Beatles it was run by the Wolverham Welfare Ass. they charged 30 pounds to appear. I was too young to attend the dance but my Mum allowed me to sit in the balcony to watch., then I went into their dressing room and served them drinks I also met Brian. I now live in Canada.
If you google “beatles ellesmere port” and click “images,” you’ll see a good pic from this event.
