The show was The Beatles’ first at the Cavern in 1963. They performed at the famous cellar club 11 times that year, with the last taking place on 3 August 1963.
Sharing the bill this lunchtime were Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes. The Beatles’ second EMI single ‘Please Please Me’ was also was also released on this day.
