The Beatles’ 11th evening show at Liverpool’s Cavern Club took place on this date.
They topped the bill at the underground club on Mathew Street, with support from The Rockin’ Blackcats and Carl Vincent And The Counts.
The precise number of The Beatles’ Cavern Club shows is not known, although at least 155 lunchtime performances and 125 evening shows are documented between 9 February 1961 and 3 August 1963. This was their 39th appearance overall.
This was the fifth occasion on which The Beatles performed both lunchtime and evening shows on the same day at the Cavern.
