Yeah, I posted about this in the news thread (I guess I should start embedding videos to make the news bits more noticeable). But I was just thinking about this lovely film this morning and thinking I should watch it again. :->

Can I just comment that “crosswalk”s are things you get in America. The stripy thing across Abbey Road is a Zebra Crossing.

Very nice indeed, but the best tribute still has to be the LIVECam where you can see that not much time passes on any given day where someone must relive that historic July day long ago http://www.abbeyroad.com/crossing …:-)

Hi, Billy Rhythm. The photo was taken in August, not July. I’m learning my Beatles trivia.

This is the best thing I’ve seen on internet since, well I guess forever! I might have visited London this year were it not for some issues. Earlier then, I would fantasize about visiting Abbey Road (crossing the crossing ) and 3 Saville Row. Thank you @meanmistermustard for this amazing virtual opportunity to visit the Abbey Road !

Hard to believe but some visitors to the road are incredibly disappointed its a road with such things as traffic on it, one person on trip adviser commented that there wasnt much to do (source: Metro).
Would be quite interesting to know what they expected.

I was shocked that the Paul and Ringo are not standing on Abbey Road crossing 24/7!

They must not be familiar with the fine art of basking.

That little video really makes me want to go see it. I didn’t know before about all the interesting surroundings. I’ll bet @Ahhh Girl could spend all day there just people watching.

Ahhh GirlI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Basking?
bask (verb): revel in and make the most of (something pleasing).
synonyms: revel in, delight in, luxuriate in, wallow in, take pleasure in, rejoice in, glory in, indulge oneself in
Yes, basking.
