Although The Beatles had concluded their five-date tour of Scotland, they remained in the country to record an appearance on the children’s television show Roundup.
Recording took place on 8 January 1963, two days after their concert in Aberdeen. At the Scottish Television studio in Glasgow they mimed to Please Please Me, due for release three days later.
The programme was presented by Paul Young and Morag Hood, and was broadcast live only in Scotland from 5-5.50pm.
